2024-25 Recruitment Evening
Join the Vancouver Island Adaptive Snowsports Society in person on Tuesday, October 23rd at 7pm at the Filberg Centre in Courtenay, to chat with us and find out more information about becoming an instructor.
Our organisation is 100% volunteer run and the program has grown in recent years to a strong and dedicated team of over 100 volunteers/instructors enthusiastically supported by the Mt. Washington operations staff.
MWAR provides space in the main lodge for our organization to call home as well as accommodating our Nordic branch at the Raven lodge. Along with providing subsidized student lift tickets and equipment rental for VISAS participants, they also give staff passes to VISAS instructors that qualify (through service and dedication).

2024-25 VISAS RAFFLE
Our 2024-25 Raffle is already going. We printed out 4000 instead of the usual 2000 and we are counting on all volunteers to sell them prior to our draw date on March 2nd during Awareness Day. We sold 124 tickets during Nautical Days during the Beer Garden.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 15 May 2024 at Comox Legion
The Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports (VISAS) is giving you notice, and inviting you, to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024, to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall Branch 160 at 1825 Comox Avenue in Comox on May 15th 2024 at 17h30. As we did not have a Spring Fling this year, the AGM will be followed by a gathering at the Beaufort Avenue Pub (downstairs) with pizza provided by the Board of Directors and a cash bar. Please RSVP so that arrangements can be made as to how much food will be needed.
