Awareness Day – 1 March 2026
Join us on March 1st, 2026 for this annual event that showcases our Adaptive students and instructors while educating spectators about our non-profit Society. We are taking this opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the necessary Adaptive equipment and instructor training we require to run our program. Our Adaptive Snowsports program introduces individuals aged 6 and older with physical or cognitive challenges to the freedom and therapeutic benefits of downhill skiing and snowboarding or Nordic skiing.
Congratulations to our newly certified CADS Level 1 Instructors
Congratulations to our newly certified CADS Level 1 Instructors!
First operational day will be December 26th, 2025
All refresher courses and training currently on hold!
Hello all VISAS Instructors and Students,
As you may already have heard, Mount Washington will not be opening on December 12th as planned.
This means that our Instructor Refresher dates will have to be pushed back as well as our first operating day.
Unfortunately, we do not have an opening date so we cannot predict what our first day of operations/lessons will be.
We will update everyone as soon as we have a final word on everything. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding. PLEAD TO ULLR!
Michael Healey and Mimi Poulin – congrats to our new Level 1 Course Conductors
We extend our congratulations to Michael Healey and Mimi Poulin on achieving their Level 1 Course Conductor certification in SunPeaks. Michael, as a skier, and Mimi, as a snowboarder, bring valuable expertise to their new roles.
VISAS is fortunate to have both of these individuals as Instructors and we wish them continued success on this new journey as trainers.
BC Adaptive Snowsports All Mountain Camp – Jan 15-18, 2026
BC Adaptive Snowsports All Mountain Camps (AMC) are multi-day camps geared to the intermediate to advanced skier and snowboarder who can confidently ski and snowboard a blue run while linking turns with control. Endorsed by Alpine Canada and Snowboard Canada as part of their development stream, AMCs offer a mix of race and all mountain skill development. Lead by top para-coaches in Canada, AMCs provide adaptive alpine participants the opportunity to build confidence, work on technique, and socialize with peers.
