With another successful season behind us, we are grateful to everyone who contributed. This season we had more than 100 dedicated, enthusiastic instructors and were able to help more participants experience and enjoy both Alpine and Nordic snow sports on Mt. Washington than ever before.

Backtracking a bit…. the VI Society of Adaptive Snowsports (www.visasweb.ca) is the January 30th recipient of $500 (+ a bonus $500) as part of my “24to12” campaign. They are the largest program in Canada for providing instruction of snowsports to physically and developmentally challenged people. Watch full video to see some of the cool equipment they have in stock.

Lunch from 1 pm to 3 pm on the upper level of the Alpine Lodge courtesy of VISAS.

Free ski / snowboarding prior to lunch & Raffle Draw at 2:30 pm

A couple years after a dirt bike accident left him paraplegic, the 24-year-old Campbell River resident finds himself charging new lines in a sit ski with the Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports (VISAS).

We want want to bring special attention to Shannon Drought, an amazing caregiver to Katie, on this International Women’s Day. It is people like Katie and Shannon that make our volunteering so worth while.
